• The PTC heater is supplementary heater to assist A/C unit heating performance.
• The electrical resistance of the semiconductor ceramics used for the PTC heater increases due to temperature increase, resulting in heat output decrease which causes current decrease. Inversely, temperature decrease causes electrical resistance to decrease resulting in current and heat output increase. These characteristics are used for automatic temperature maintenance.
